So yesterday my sister, her kids and I went to Cliff's Amusement park. Cliff's is our local amusement park....it is always there, year around but is only open in the summer. It was a lot of fun. Got my scarety cat niece to go on the roller coasters. WOOHOO!!! Had some success with her conquering some of her fears.
I was very thankful that they allowed us to leave the park and then re-enter cause the food fenders didn't take cash. Credit, debit or their fun cards. I had already spent 93 bucks for the place (that price included general admission and unlimited ride passes for all 4 of us).
When we got back from lunch we went on one ride and then we went on one the rollercoasters again. I had my phone before I sat down in the seat. I put it in my pocket, though I thought that I had put in my purse. When I got off and walking down the ramp I checked for my phone and it was gone. Went back up the ramp....the guy checked the seat that I had been sitting and it wasn't there. So my guess is that it fell out of my pocket and either was in fact in the seat but the guys that were sitting there when went back to check snatched it and didn't give it to me or it had flown out of the car during the ride and broke somewhere.
I was so frustrated. You know when you get so frustrated over something that really isn't such a bad thing and you start crying...ya that was me. I mean there is much worse things that could happen than losing a phone.
But in the 3 years that I had that phone, this is the first time that I lost it. My sister let me use her phone to call the tmobile customer care. Thankfully I pay the 8 bucks a month for insurance on my phone. So I had my phone suspended and then when I got home I went to the insurance claim site and made a claim. I should have my refurbished phone early next week. The new phone is probably gonna suck since its refurbished.
What really sucks though is that I lost all of my phone contacts, so I have to track down people to get their numbers again. I lost all of my pictures. I lost my memory card.
The losing of my phone put a damper on my fun time there.
I learned first hand why there was a sign at that ride about putting all lose items on the exit side. Not that I would have put my purse or phone there anyways. I just should have made sure that I put my phone in my purse rather than in my pocket.
