I heard today they are looking for someone full-time at school for maintainence. The shift is the 2pm-10pm shift most of the time except school vacations when it would be 6am-2pm. It would be full year, with 2 weeks paid vacation, health benefits etc. I am tempted to apply but really need to look at the pros and cons of it.
I can get as much hours I need at walmart as I talked to them today and I am working Friday 4-8pm, sat 7am-4pm and Sunday 12-6. I also told him i could work alot durin school vacations etc. I am so confused on what to do. I would be able to have weekends off at thwe school job but there are alot of other cons as well as pros.
Ugg....I am gonna pray on it.

Yes, pray that is the best thing to do. BUT if the school job comes with benefits that is a BIG pro.

I am chosing to pass on it as I hope to find something full-time maybe somewhere else or next year they may be offering health insurance through the Union. I kept weighing the good and the bad and the bad was not winning so....I did get excited for a little bit.

Ruth, our friend does that job at our local schools. They send him to the different schools in our system. He is presently out on another leave, cause this time he broke a bone in his foot at work. He's been out before for back injuries and other stuff. It is a physically demanding job sometimes. During the summer months they usually do a lot of remodeling type stuff and painting. IN the winter they do snow shoveling and a lot of cleaning up yucky stuff.
So it is probably better that you wait and get something else. Yes the health insurance is good, but it can be a hard job sometimes and pretty gross.
